Goodbye Dark Circles!

I recently wrote about where I like to spend my money and save my money on my post for High Street vs High End Make Up and I may have mentioned that I had been loving the Nars Creamy Concealer.  Today's post features unedited photos of before, during and after using my number one concealer for treating under eye dark circles.

I had noticed rather recently that the skin under my eyes was looking a lot darker than usual.  I have never really suffered from dark under eye circles and for the most part I can get away without using any concealer under my eyes at all.  However, seeing as my body is giving away the fact that I am feeling a bit drained I thought I would invest in the Nars Creamy Concealer to help brighten things up.

I have wanted to try this concealer for a long time but never really needed it enough to justify the price (£22.00). During a recent trip to Space NK however (here's a little post on my recent mini haul) I thought it would be a  good time to finally treat myself seeing as my normal under eye concealer (Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer) just was not cutting the mustard.
I was matched to the shade Vanilla which is quite cool toned but it looks nice and light upon application.  The creamy concealer is specifically designed for use underneath the eyes as it diffuses light and helps to correct tone of the skin.

Instead of dabbing little dots around the eye, I like to draw a 'V' which I feel gives better coverage especially when using a 'brightening' under eye concealer.  To make sure it is blended properly I like to take my EcoTools Concealer Brush as well as using my ring finger to gently dab the product into the skin for a flawless finish.

The wear on this concealer is very long lasting and as you can hopefully see definitely achieves a much brighter eye area which helps when I am looking and feeling tired.  Although I have a few small lines underneath my eyes these days the creamy formula means this concealer doesn't sit in them when blended thoroughly.

I am absolutely obsessed with this concealer, it does a great job of helping with tired, darkened eyes and allows me to look like I have had a good nights kip even when I haven't.

Have you tried the Nars Creamy Concealer?  I would love to know your thoughts!

Emma x
